Children’s Activities

We are very family-focused and have lots of different things to keep children occupied so adults can sit back and relax!

Den and cabin bed

Children love sleeping in the cabin bed and underneath there is a snug with fairy lights, cosy bean bags and cushions for chilling out to read a book or play a game. As well as plastic crockery and cutlery there is also a child-size table and chairs and chill-out chairs on each veranda.

Play area and skittles

We have a children’s play area with a swing, slide, tree stumps and tyres to climb and balance on and a very special bespoke mud kitchen hand-crafted by Matt, many hours are spent here creating some interesting concoctions! There is also a boule and skittles court that the whole family can enjoy. There’s enough space to play football or put up a badminton net and a game of hide and seek is a must!

Nature trail

For the past few years we have created a complimentary nature trail which children can do either on-site or throughout their day trips while on holiday in Devon. In 2023 our nature trail will involve finding things on land, in the river and in the air in our riverside meadow!

Games locker

Our honesty shop houses the games locker which contains a variety of games and puzzles for younger and older children and for the whole family including Guess Who? HeadBanz, Monopoly, Charades and many more…

Annual events and competitions

Every year we host an annual Easter egg hunt which is much enjoyed by our young glampers and a children’s picture competition. We have seen so many talented and aspiring young artists the last few years and their masterpieces are on display in our honesty shop for everyone to see.

Babies and toddlers

If travelling with very young children we have a baby bouncer, play mat and selection of pre-school toys that we can arrange to be ready in your safari tent for arrival as well as a travel cot and high chair.
