Couples Glamping
Considering a glamping break as a couple?
Considering a mid-week break to switch off, escape to the countryside and enjoy some down time and relaxation? Look no further than one of our safari tents. While they can sleep up to six they are not too big for one couple and are ideal if you want to holiday with another couple – there are two separate bedrooms both with access to the bathroom at the rear. The pub is less than a 5-minute walk across Bickleigh Bridge or enjoy a yummy cream tea or lunch next door at Bickleigh Mill. There are many great places to eat out nearby – check out our recommendations here. Enjoy sipping a glass of wine or beer or cider (!) on the veranda while overlooking the beautiful Exe Valley and it is the perfect spot for reading a book, a game of scrabble or star gazing.

What can we do nearby?
There are countryside walks directly from the glamping site and many more nearby – check out our recommendations here and here! If a trek up a waterfall appeals we love to visit Canonteign Falls – the tallest waterfall in the UK. If you are feeling really energetic and enjoy a bike ride there are many trails to ride along and see some beautiful Devon countryside – check out the options here. Alternatively you may be seeking some peace and quiet so a boat trip on a horse-drawn barge along the Grand Western Canal in Tiverton is a good option or a ride out to Exmoor or Dartmoor National Park. There are also two National Trust properties within a 20 minute drive – Killerton and Knightshayes. Tours of breweries or vineyards also make a great day out – Hanlons near Exeter have a great Beer Factory and Kitchen and Pebblebed vineyard produce sparkling, white, rose and red wine.
