On Friday 22nd September, local cider producer, Rull Orchard are hosting an evening of cider tasting in our Courtyard bar. You will have the opportunity to sample six local craft ciders including the popular Orchard Sunset, a cold racked, an ashmeads kernel single variety, Pomological – which is rich, sweet, smooth and bold and drunk as a short and perfect to match with cheese, Orchard Starlight – a sophisticated sparkling and a mystery Devon apple! There will also be the opportunity to ask questions as the cider is poured at your table!

A bit of background…
Mike and Claire are the people behind Rull Orchard and are situated just across the Exe Valley less than 3 miles away. Since moving to Bickleigh they have re-planted much of the Orchard, choosing apple varieties which are perfect for both juice and cider. They also source apples locally, some of which have been scrumped from our very own Valleyside Orchard! They are currently finalists in the Food Drink Devon awards in not one but two categories including sustainability!
