Riverside Meadow
Our exclusive riverside meadow is just a couple of minutes walk and a great place to explore. It is around seven acres so ideal for children to run around, complete the nature trail and burn some energy! There are some benches right next to the river Exe so a perfect spot for a picnic and we have also installed a fire pit so you can toast marshmallows and enjoy a sundowner here too.
Many glampers paddle their feet and for those that enjoy wild swimming it is an idyllic place. In the summer months the river bed is dry so you can walk right up to the weir. There is lots of wildlife to see, kingfishers and herons are frequent visitors and an Otter has also been seen. Children can feed the ducks, skim stones, build rock towers and also fish for minnows in the river. Splashes of jumping fish are often heard so for keen fisherman there is a chance you may catch a salmon or trout!
