Terms & Conditions
1.0 Bookings and Payment
1.1 All bookings via our online system should be treated as provisional until you receive confirmation from us via email. At the time of booking, we take a non-refundable deposit of 30%, with the balance payable at least 6 weeks in advance of your stay. Bookings made within 6 weeks of your desired dates must be paid in full at the time of booking. Confirmation of the booking will be sent after the deposit (or full payment), has been received. For groups booking all three tents a refundable deposit of £100 per tent is required at time of booking.
1.2 Deposits or full payments can be made by debit or credit card online at the time of your booking. The balance can be paid by debit or credit card (preferable) or alternatively by bank transfer or cheque. If the balance is not paid by the due date, Valleyside Escapes reserves the right to re-let the tent and retain the deposit.
1.3 Valleyside Escapes only accepts bookings from persons over 18 years of age and the person that accepts the booking agrees to Valleyside Escape’s Terms & Conditions of stay on behalf of all of their party.
1.4 Valleyside Escapes reserves the right, at all times, without statement of reasons, to refuse or cancel a booking.
1.5 The prices featured on the website are not binding on Valleyside Escapes; Valleyside Escapes reserves the right to modify these prices. At the time of booking you will be informed of the prices applicable. The price stated on the confirmation invoice is binding.
2.0 Cancellation
2.1 If we are able to re-let your accommodation we will refund your deposit as well as any other monies paid, or alternatively reschedule your stay to another date.
2.2 However, if we are unable to re-let your accommodation where a booking has been paid in full:
– any cancellation 10 weeks or more prior to your stay will result in the loss of 30% (as per the standard booking deposit which is non-refundable). We will then refund the balance of your stay.
– any cancellation within 6-10 weeks prior to your stay will result in 50% loss of the total booking.
– no refund will be given for any cancellation within 0-6 weeks prior to your stay.
2.3 Should Valleyside Escapes have to cancel your holiday at any time due to unforeseen circumstances, we shall inform you as soon as possible and a full refund will be given in the unlikely event this should occur.
2.4 Coronavirus cancellation policy: If a sudden lock-down is enforced and your holiday has to be cancelled we will transfer your stay to one later this year or next or you will receive a full refund. If you are unable to travel because someone in your household becomes ill or you are required to self-isolate due to track and trace then our usual cancellation policy applies which is if we’re able to re-let the accommodation we will refund you, if we’re unable to fill the booking we will transfer your stay to an alternative date (this year or next).
3.0 Arrival and Departure
3.1 Arrival days are Monday and Friday. Check in is from 3PM and check out strictly by 10AM on day of departure.
3.2 We ask you leave the tent in the same clean condition in which you found it. If there is any unreasonable damage caused by negligence or items that go missing we reserve the right to reclaim any monies, using the booking payment debit/credit card information provided at the time of booking. We will inform you in writing of any claim and by booking you agree to this condition.
4.0 Accommodation Capacity
4.1 If the number of guests in one tent is higher than that booked or the total marketed capacity of the accommodation, then Valleyside Escapes reserves the right to order any unauthorised persons from the premises. However, should your party include additional children under 5 years of age, allowances can be made and will be charged at an additional £40 per child per stay. This should be agreed prior to your arrival at Valleyside Escapes so we can prepare for the extra person.

5.1 One large or two small well behaved dogs are welcome per tent, charged at £15 each. Please note they are not allowed on the beds or furniture. Please clean up after your dog(s) and make sure they are clean before entering the accommodation.
5.2 Dogs must not be left unsupervised in the tent.
5.3 As well as being mindful of other guests, please note Valleyside Escapes has sheep grazing in the Orchard. Therefore, dogs must be kept on a lead between the car park and glamping field and under control at all times.
5.4 Dogs are welcome at the owner’s risk, however Valleyside Escapes does not accept liability for harm or injury caused by (or to) your dog during your stay.
6.0 Noise, behaviour and the coronavirus
6.1 We ask that guests keep noise to a minimum after 10.30pm and before 8am, in consideration of others. Please ensure that any music is played at a reasonable level and any noise must be kept within an appropriate level bearing in mind other parties staying.
6.2 We reserve the right to ask any persons to leave the premises and their holiday ended with immediate effect during their stay in the event that a Guest’s behaviour impacts upon the reasonable enjoyment and/or use of the site by other Guests or the owners. This includes any excessive disturbance (to include loud music, raucous/threatening behaviour, dangerous or any illegal activity). No refunds will be given under these circumstances.
6.3 Smoking is not permitted at any time within the tent or on the decks.
6.4 We expect our guests to respect the social distancing guidelines and conduct regular hand washing especially when re-entering the tent after being out for the day.
6.5 If any member of a party experiences coronavirus symptoms while staying with us they need to alert us immediately so we can disinfect communal touch points and initiate a deep clean of the accommodation. They will need to leave immediately, return home and be tested. Once the results of the coronavirus test are known we need to be informed of the result (positive or negative). Failure to alert us to symptoms and follow these instructions will result in additional charges for all affected bookings.
