This week we opened our doors for season 3 at Valleyside Escapes. It was so nice to bring the safari tents back to life and welcome our glamping guests. We’re also taking care of eight lambs, four of which we’re bottle feeding three times a day. Any glampers staying in the next month or so can get involved and help us at feeding time!

There are a few new things we’ve introduced to enhance our guest’s experience even more!

New local coffee
Our honesty shop has a new roof so no more ducking! Inside, for coffee lovers we have a new and local roast to try – Dartmoor Coffee – artisan coffee roasting in Dartmoor National Park. Their single origin Brazilian ‘Fazenda Furnas’ and Guatemala ‘El Durazno’ ground coffee is available to buy and try in the cafetieres provided in our tents. #wakeupandsmellthecoffee

Children’s picture competition
The top prize in this year’s picture competition is a Green Science kit from Science4You. Children can do fun experiments, create rockets, solar ovens and more while learning about the environment and sustainability. We can’t wait to see this year’s masterpieces and last year’s winner and runners-up pictures are displayed in the honesty shop.

Luxury skincare
This season we’re using a new luxurious, all-natural, British-made hand and body wash from 100 Acres based in the South West. When we read about their ethos we thought they were a perfect fit!  Simply, bottled incarnations of the botanical British countryside – a countryside escape in a bottle! We can’t wait to hear our glampers feedback.

Let there be light!
Following feedback from guests our lounge area and bedrooms now have lights, so no head torches are required for bedtime reading!
