We officially launched our weddings and events barn last weekend with a VIP brunch and ribbon cutting ceremony followed by a local Food & Drinks Fair attended by around 300 people. It was a bright, sunny day with a lovely atmosphere and the perfect way to showcase Valleyside Barn! The barn is situated in our lower paddock about 100 metres from our glamping tents and has been transformed over the past two years from an old timber outbuilding to a rustic, substantial barn.

The Fair would not have been possible without all of our fantastic stallholders – on the food side we had Blakewell smoked fish, Exe Valley Farm shop hosting the BBQ, The Pizza Box creating delicious Neapolitan pizzas and some Asian cuisine from West Country Dim Sum. Visitors could also enjoy some sweet treats from Sabine’s macarons, a range of amazing home-made cakes from Hat-a-Cakes and yummy ice cream served from Icicle Tricycle.

There were lots of drinks to sample too – several local breweries attended showcasing their own craft creations including Exe Valley Brewery, Hanlons Brewery, Powderkeg Beer and Utopian Brewing. Gin connoisseurs could try Papillon gin  distilled on Dartmoor and  Deck Chair gin inspired by the English Riviera! Local cider was also on offer from Bickleigh-based Rull Orchard. Local wine merchant Grape & Grain served a selection of different local and English wines. We also had Dartmoor Coffee brewing fresh coffee.

We had some beautiful musical entertainment from Roseanna Ball who sang, played the guitar and created a chilled Sunday vibe!

The launch has been featured on Devon Live and Exeter Daily and in print in Exeter Living, The Tiverton Gazette and Sunday Independent. 

We have weddings booked already for 2022 and welcome any couples who are interested in getting married to make an appointment for a viewing. The barn can hold around 150 guests seated and venue hire is from Friday – Sunday lunchtime, and includes all tables and chairs and a PA system. Our luxury glamping tents can also be hired providing accommodation for guests. We are able to host mid-week weddings as well as other celebrations, events and corporate meetings.
